30m³ TMR Mixer Handles 10,500kg Per Batch, Reducing Daily Mixing Cycles for Large Livestock Operations

Feed preparation accounts for a significant share of daily labor and operating cost on large dairy and cattle farms. Operations processing high volumes of silage, hay, grain and mineral additives often face inconsistent mixing results, frequent blade replacement, and unplanned downtime due to trough wear.

Aoxin (Beijing) Mechanical Technology has released a 30m³ total mixed ration (TMR) mixer designed for large-scale livestock facilities. Below are the technical specifications and what they mean for daily farm operation.

Mixing capacity — fewer cycles per day

The trough holds 30m³ with an 85% effective mixing volume, supporting a maximum batch weight of 10,500 kg. Driven by a 180 hp / 132 kW tractor PTO, the unit processes silage, hay, grain and mineral additives in a single batch. For farms with large herds, this can reduce the number of daily mixing cycles and the associated labor and tractor hours.

Trough construction — longer repair intervals

The trough is fabricated from NM400 abrasion-resistant steel, with a 20mm base plate and 10mm side panels. NM400 is a wear-resistant steel grade commonly used in heavy-duty agricultural and mining equipment. Compared with standard carbon steel troughs, the thicker NM400 build extends the interval between trough repairs or replacement under continuous use, lowering long-term maintenance spending.

Blade system — up to 3,000 hours between changes

The mixer uses a serrated convex blade arrangement with 16 SK-II alloy cutting components. Each blade receives tungsten carbide hardfacing. In field use, tungsten carbide hardfaced blades show approximately 1,300 hours of wear life; blades with an additional high-chromium alloy overlay reach up to 3,000 hours. Longer blade life means fewer blade changes, less maintenance downtime, and more consistent mixing quality over the service cycle.

Weighing system — less ingredient waste

A precision weighing system from an established international brand is fitted as standard, including a digital display and automatic weighing function. The three-point suspension frame uses 3–4 industrial load cells to measure ingredient weight during the mixing cycle. Accurate weighing allows operators to maintain consistent feed formulations, reduce ingredient overuse, and keep feed costs more predictable month to month.

Mobility — fits existing farm layouts

The unit runs on eight heavy-duty tires with a 7.5-meter turning radius. A reinforced chassis supports stable operation across different farm terrain and barn layouts, so the mixer can be integrated into most existing feeding workflows without facility modifications.
